No ambiente profissional, um colaborador que entende o real sentido de seu trabalho e este está ligado aos seus valores, que suas atividades são reconhecidas como parte do sucesso da organização, que seu esforço é percebido e o relacionamento com os colegas traz satisfação, ou seja, emoções positivas o cercam e há um senso de pertencimento, tudo indica que ele trará mais resultados para a organização.
Além do propósito do próprio colaborador com suas práticas diárias, a organização deve ter um propósito bem definido para haver essa identificação. De acordo com outra pesquisa da Harvard Business Review, as pessoas empregadas em empresas com propósito relatam quase o dobro da satisfação no trabalho e são três vezes mais propensas a permanecer naquela organização.
